Q.          When is the Membership Year?
A.          The RAS Membership year runs from 01 October 2010 to 30 September 2011

Q.          How do I become a member?
A.          You can join online by clicking the 'Join Today' icon on the Membership homepage.

Q.          How do I renew my membership?
A.          You can renew your membership online by clicking the ‘Renew Online’ icon on the Membership homepage.

Q.          When are Membership fees due?
A.          Membership fees are payable on or before 30 September of that membership year.

Q.          When will I receive my members’ card?
A.          Please allow up to 3 weeks for the printing and distribution of your member card and guest card(s), if applicable.
             Please note that we are unable to send your member card and any applicable guest cards within 2 weeks of the Royal
             Easter Show

Q.          How many guest cards can I purchase?
A.          A maximum of 3 guest cards can be purchased with your membership 

Q.          Can I add a guest card at any time?
A.          Yes, you can add a guest card to your membership at any time (max. 3)

Q.          Does my guest card include a lanyard?
A.          Lanyards are not provided with guest cards as they are fully transferable. Lanyards can be purchased at the Show
             and prior to the Show

Q.          Can I change the name on my Membership?
A.          No, Membership is not transferable

Q.          I have changed my details, what do I do?
A.          Please contact the Membership Team on (02) 9704 1144 or by email at membership@rasnsw.com.au to change your
             contact information

Q.          How do I qualify for longstanding status?
A.         A member must attain either 40 consecutive years of membership or have reached 70 years of age and attached 25
            consecutive years of membership.

Q.          Can a Junior member renew or take out a 3 year membership at any time?
A.          If a Junior is 16 or 17 years of age, they are unable to renew or take out a 3 year membership. The annual subscription
             fee will apply.

Q.          Can a Youth member renew or take out a 3 year membership at any time?
A.          If a Youth is 24 or 25 years of age, they are unable to renew or take out a 3 year membership. The annual subscription 
             fee will apply.

Q.          Does the membership duration for a Junior member need to be the same as the Primary member?
A.         Yes, if the primary member subscribes to an Annual or 3 year membership, the junior must also subscribe to the same
            duration as the primary member

Q.          I live in the City, but I am a primary producer, do I qualify for Country membership?
A.          If you live in the City, but have agricultural holdings and are able to claim as a Primary Producer through taxation, then
             you are eligible to apply for Country membership. The Primary Producer status document must be supplied each year you              renew.

Q.          Can I claim reciprocal benefits at other Societies?
A.          All Royal Shows offer visiting RAS members access into Members’ facilities. Entry to Showgrounds must be paid each day
             you enter the Show and is non-refundable. Your membership must be current with the RAS of NSW to claim reciprocal
             benefits.

Q.          I have misplaced my member and/or guest card, can I get a replacement?
A.          Should you misplace your member or guest card card, please contact us immediately. A replacement fee applies.

Q.         Can I bring a guest to the Easter Show as part of my membership?
A.         Membership is valid for the card holder only however members may purchase a transferable guest card which includes
            Show entry and access to Members’ facilities for the duration of the Show. A maximum of 3 guest cards can be purchased
            per member.

Q.         Can I purchase a Show day pass for family and friends?
A.         Membership entitles you to purchase One Day Royal passes. The One Day Royal pass consists of one Show Entry ticket
            and one Members Reserve pass for entry into the Members facilities. A maximum of 4 passes may be purchased. It is valid
            for any one day of the Show.

Q.          Is public transport included in my Membership when I attend the Royal Easter Show?
A.          Public transport is not included in the price of your Membership.

Q.          Where can I park when I attend the Royal Easter Show?
A.          As a member, you have access to pre-purchase parking conveniently located at P1 parking station. Look out for the insert
             in the Feb/Mar edition of the RAS Times and get it back to us by the closing date OR book it online at 
             www.myrasnsw.com.au/members and click on Members’ Shop. Your parking ticket/s will be posted to you prior to the
             Show. 

Q.          When is the Annual General Meeting (AGM) held?
A.          The AGM is held on the evening prior to the start of the Royal Easter Show. All members may attend the AGM providing
             their subscription is paid at least four weeks prior to the start of the Royal Easter Show.
